Anyone know about the JCM combos

I am looking at a new amp. How are the JCM combos. For example, the old JCM 800 4010. I play mostly modern rock (foo Fighters. . etc. .), indie rock, and some blues now and then. Anybody got any experience with them?

Hi, I have an '83 4210 combo (50 watts, 1x12).

It is a great sounding amp IMO. There are different marshall combo models which sound different from each other. Mine has some diode clipping that some people like and some don't...

Your best bet would be to try some and let your ears decide what is right for you.

I guess mine would be very good for indie rock, blues, does punk and some metal pretty good (with the addition of pedals, which it takes quite well) but I doubt that it would do a great FF sound (although with pedals it could be satisfactory)... it's just not that high-gain IMO...
