The seller claimed it was a EMG 81, I even asked if it was active, he said yes....Well, its not....its a four conductor and each coil measures about 5.6K
I just wonder what it was used in or if its crap.

Ive got a pickup that looks exactly like that, same wires same look except for the fact that it doesnt say Charvel on it. It is called a Diesel Metal Shred and if you do a search on ebay you will probably find it.

Well, Charvel used Jackson pickups which used to be made in the US. The cover probably just has a Charvel logo on it, only difference. However, I've never seen a Jackson pickup with a black back like that. Without a label on it, I can't tell you what it would be, though. Try over at the Jackson/Charvel forum. There's a lot of guys who are more knowledgable concerning the Jackson pickups than I am.

that charvel logo is added later...

AFAIK no Charvel pickup was ever produced, just ones with the Jackson logo.

could be a jackson pup, with the logo removed, or could be anything else

Actually, quite a few Jackson pickups were produced with Charvel logos on them. They were the same pickups, just the logos were different. In fact, I've seen Charvel guitars with Jackson logo'ed pickups (more common) as well as Jackson guitars with Charvel logo'ed pickups.

Its definetly a silkscreened "factory" logo, though some jackass ran a black sharpie over it to hide the charvel. Its a sealed back, just like a emg, its not your normal jackson plastic covered pup....and its not active....I dont see how it could be...the red and black measure 5.6 and the green and white measure 5.6...then you have the "sheild" so, were definetely passive.
