Anyone notice on some of the new Agile AL's...?

Re: Anyone notice on some of the new Agile AL's...?

I noticed.

There are 472,382,576 guitars with 1 11/16" nut widths.

Note:

There are new guitars coming off the assembly line every second, so that number could be a little off.

I believe for such a bold statement, you should provide a link as proof to support your numerical findings.

Smart assedness aside, though common for guitars in general, 1 11/16" is pretty atypical for an Agile LP style guitar or at least has been for quite some time. They were typically 1 5/8" and then also offered as a 1 3/4" option. The 1 5/8" nut width in particular drew alot of criticism for being too narrow. It would appear they listen.

What's so weird about that?

My Epi SG has a 1 11/16" nut width.
So does my Ibanez superstrat (though it has a tilt-back neck).

1 5/8" is usually pretty standard for Fender designs though.

I don't recall when I first saw it, but it seems they've had 1 11/16" for quite a while. Certainly not very new news.

Re: Anyone notice on some of the new Agile AL's...?

Its had to have been fairly recent. Maybe even with the 3110 and 3010 models. Ive been browsing that website for the past 3 years or so and just recently seen 1 11/16" models. Not that they never had them, I just havent seen them until recently. I bought a 1 3/4" model last year mainly because I was apprehensive about the narrow nut width and doing research before I purchased found many a discussion topic where people had stated sincere interest in the brand be the nut width being a deal breaker. Some of those discussions dating back a few years if i recall.
