Anyone tried the SD CD “Scooped” Little Dipper Set?

You'll notice the DCR of the bridge is similar to the SSL-1, mythical MJ mojo not wihstanding, The neck is similar to your CS60s, IIRC. Having the neck and the middle be the same is a good thing.

$60 for a bridge pickup to go with two pickups you already have which you already like is better than $300.

Which bridge pick up would work well with the CS 60’s? Something a little hotter and compatible polarity wise.

SSL-1 RWRP. It's billed as being built to original Fender spec with all the vintage correct materials for whatever year in the '50s it was. How the Custom Shop is able to better that bridge pickup is a mystery to me. It's a steep hill to climb given the way the SSL-1 is marketed. ;)

I really wish there was a demo out there but I have a feeling these would sound awesome?

But better than D Allen Stratcat, Klien Jazzy Cat, Dirty Blondes etc? I’d love to know.

"Comments: We are authorized Seymour Duncan dealers and are proud to finally offer this limited edition set to the market. The Fender "Big Dipper" set is no longer in production- as a result demand has skyrocketed and prices have become obscene. We wanted to bring the "scooped" tone to market at a more affordable price. MJ absolutely nailed it in this set, you will not be disappointed. Get yours today while they last!"

I find this ironic.

Kinman The Scoop for the middle and neck and an Impersonator 56 for the bridge. Buy something with a little technology instead of a pedestrian pickup wound with magic.

I'd mention some DiMarzios too, but it would surely piss some people off. ;)

I remember reading about the Big Dippers but never actually tried them. But past a certain price point, there is only so much a pickup can do that you can't achieve with tone controls on the amp, great technique, and wonderful music to play.

For $650 I can get a set of SSL-1's, a Slash neck pickup for my Epi, a bag of Jalapeño Cheddar Cheetos and a hooker for the weekend.
