Anyone using a Peavey Delta Blues?

Just played through a 1x15 again recently and I really like this amp. I haven't come across too many in either 1x15 or 2x10 and I am surprised. Bang for the buck seems almost off the chart for an MIA amp especially in the used market.

Not sure but is it essentially a Classic 30 with a tremolo unit?

Im not sure how close it is (or is not) to a Classic 30 but the ones I have tried were really impressive to be so low buck...I dug both the 1x15 and the 2x10.

Yeah that is pretty much how I am feeling. I am thinking of picking one of the 15's up fairly soon and re-doing it in real tweed.

I had one for a while that was great, a 2x10 model.

The bar I work at has gone through three though! Peavey is one of our endorsers and gave us a classic 50 (new model) and a delta b lues 2x10. we had a peavey delta blues 2x10 before we were endorsed and had to send it back 3 times for repairs and finally said screw it and tossed it in storage.

Then peavey gives us one, and it dies on the SECOND gig it's used on! They send us a new one, and that one last three gigs before it dies!

I'm kinda leary of these amps now. fwiw

Peavey make plenty of good amps, but the two I REALLY like are the discontinued classic 20 (get one if you see one!) and the delta blues. I like the 2x10 best, as it reminds me of a cross between my old vibrolux and my blue angel. really nice amp, though down here in New Zealand it isn't quite as much of a screaming deal as it is in the States.

I used to have a 1x15 Delta Blues in that "tweed" cover... bought it used from a friend & sold it to a guy on here last year when it became time to thin the heard a bit... It was a pretty good amp. Never thought it was "amazing" sounding but had really usable 'dirt' and a great clean tone. For all the years I owned it there was never a lick of trouble either.

The one "bad" thing is that the tubes are TOTALLY exposed, I was always worried about mashing them on the way to a gig & had to take extra care to protect the back side...

i seriously dont know who bought all these new peaveys in the last 30 years.. they lose so much value before you even get the receipt!
