Approx. a month to NGD!

I just pulled the trigger on all the components to build this Warmoth 7/8 S Style guitar. Specifics include a swamp ash on swamp ash 3 lb 5 oz. body, Wilkinson vibrato bridge, and Bartolini Strat pickups. The wait is going to be 4-5 weeks for the neck finishing, and 4 weeks for the special order of the rare Bartolini guitar pickups. Here is my Photoshop mockup from the actual Showcase pictures of the ordered parts (I think it's going to be a good one):

I think it looks good. Good color combo with the tobacco sun burst, black white black pick guard, black hard ware and dark colored FB.

Why Bartolini ?

The Bartolinis will be something of an experiment, to be sure. The reason I decided to try this is that I used to own a Novax guitar that was built with Bartolini Soapbar pickups. They sounded fantastic in that guitar through any amp I had. I'm hoping the single coils will be as good as those Soapbars were. Incidentally, if you go on YouTube and search for "Bartolini guitar pickups" one of the hits will be called "Bartolini, Leslie Quarterpound"; this is a good sounding demo of the Bart. single coils.

I should mention, since I'm on the Seymour Duncan UGF, that I have three electric guitars with SD pickups, and I am quite happy with them. I don't want anyone to think I am promoting Bartolinis over Seymours!
