Wow, I dont remember this much drama in the Amp Room for a long time...

I have always wanted to try CM pedals and be my own judge, that seems the best advice for you, dude... And since you are such an uber-genius at computers, you must have tons of IT money just sitting around, use some to pick up a couple pedals and see for yourself and not worry what the spoiled 14-year-olds say on HC reviews...

Frankly, I am surprised an admin hasnt asked you to take a time out yet...

how about this: if you don't like me, leave me alone. it's simple. what part of that don't you understand? i don't go invading your threads and talking garbage to you. if i have, show me where i've done that. i basically post new threads and respond helpfully to others.

i challenge any of you in this forum to prove where i went an invaded someone's thread to start trouble. usually, when i post in someone elses thread, i try to be helpful. it's you troublemakers that come into my threads and talk trash and then you have the audacity to call me a troll. go figure. that's the most skewed view i've seen yet.

do you normally point out your observations of others to everyone? explain to me please, what the point of your post is? is it to take sides against me in an attempt to gain favor with others in the forum or is it some other personal rub that you just can't seem to get over? in fact, why bother posting something about me or in reference to a discussion i'm having with someone else? really, what's the point of trying to make me look bad? i am the way i am, so leave it alone. there's no reason to go make light of it every time.

this is a thread that I started. and all those were responses to what i thought were either arrogant, sarcastic, or mistaken posts. so if you went through all that trouble to dig it up, maybe you should have actually checked to see how it transpired. of course you wouldn't do that because you're already offended and nothing reasonable will change your mind now. you're just out to prove me wrong.

I'm neither offended, nor am I out to prove anything. My point is simply that you act extremely arrogant and sarcastic, then yell at other people for being arrogant and sarcastic.

If you want to be arrogant and sarcastic, that's fine. However, you lose the right to gripe about other people being that way.

Barbarian Legend I'm really confused about the intent of the thread. From someone who has not been following this until just a few hours ago it looks like you doing one of two things.

(1.)Trying to bag on Rid for some reason because you know he works for CM.

(2)Find people who thought they were overrated or overpriced and verify a position you hold.

In any case you would be best served by not being so abrasive and defensive to other members.

You think that just because you started the thread, that gives you carte blanche to be a tremendous douchepump to people anytime someone disagrees with you or doesn't immediately satisfy your desperate cries for acceptance and validation? Get your head out of your ass.

There's a reason why, whatever account you use - Barbarianbrute, Shogunlegend, agent007, whatever - people get tired of your attitude and ridiculous internet-tough-guy shtick in less than a day. Clue: It's not us. There are a LOT of active posters on this forum who, despite our many differences, don't have any problems being courteous and friendly with each other on a daily basis.

i'm certainly not ragging on rid for anything. i didn't know that rid worked for carl martin. maybe other people who have been around the forums longer know about that, but i never asked rid what he does for a living. in fact, i don't play games like that.

i asked the question for a legitimate reason. i was checking out these carl martin pedals and didn't think they sounded extraordinarily good from the sound clips. plus a lot of reviews i read seemed to indicate that. i can't assume the credibility of all the reviews, but i think i can decipher who has worthwhile opinions.

i'm in the market for a good distortion/overdrive pedal and want something really classy, but i want to make sure that i get a bang for my buck. like the jeckle and hyde pedal, i'm very happy with that purchase.

it's simple: i don't take crap. if you don't give me crap, you won't get crap from me. why don't you actually try being friendly to me sometime and find out for real.

and yes, there is a difference. if i went around to other people's threads and started harassing them, that would be different than just being a reactive person. i have a short temper and i don't like to be messed with. some people are like that and you have to respect that. if you go and mess with someone who has a short temper, you know what to expect. you can't go around ragging on them for being and ass because of it.

if you actually research my posting history, you will see that i'm nice ot people who are nice to me. i tell people thanks, i apologize at times, and i'm not what you are making me out to be.

come on man, don't exaggerate. i didn't say the clips sucked, they just didn't do anything to make me say "oh man, these carl martin pedals are something else." they did sound good, but some of the ones i was checking out were very expensive nad there are none around here to try.

there were a couple that sounded cool, but i just wanted some feedback. i apologize if you thought this was a jab at you, but i tend to mind my own business. i didn't know you worked for them. now that i know you do, i understand your position. i really just want to learn more about them.

alright that's cool. i'd like to move on though. this drama has gone too far now. i got your point and everyone elses by now. i admitted that i'm short tempered. there's nothing left to discuss except that we can proceed with learning something from this forum. that's what i'd like to do.

if you actually try getting to know me, you might like me. in the least, you might understand me better. i normally don't go around asking people about themselves because i like to mind my own business, but i'll try getting to know you guys a bit more.

Well there is nothing to do but to try them....
As said..we do not make miracle water and wonders, they are tools, not anything else!
If you have most of my clips, well they are made with a direct record preamp that is solidstate...most crappy POS I ever had....got no friggin time to record at work these days.
Not that it matters much, as we are busy cranking out those "overrated" pedals
