I got a gold one a few months ago. Extremely gorgeous!! And it certainly takes away some of the recognition to the RS. Very unique. I was afraid of what the neck might feel like because it isn't like the ones I'm used to (60's, slim taper, "C", etc). I was very pleasantly surprised. I LOVE the wider fretboard, it just feels so natural and right. Plays very well, great tones (even if I don't play Queen), good quality. Well worth the price I paid ($699 new), but I doubt I'd pay much more for it...mainly because there are plenty of guitars in the $400-800 price range with excellent quality. I've got close to two dozen guitars less than $700 and only 9 or 10 up to $2500. Except for 1 or 2 they are all supurb (quality, playability, tone, finish, etc).
