lol ... that happens to be my very first amp! Same year, model, and everything.

That Supersat(TM) channel was soooo terrible! A month after getting this amp, I bought a DS-1 and never touched that channel again!

I'd almost buy this amp for nostalgic/comedic value.

A few months ago I was going through some boxes in my parents' basement and stumbled upon the receipt for my first electric guitar and amp purchase back in '97. I know it said Peavey, and that thing looks damn familiar... I think I kept the receipt for nostalgic purposes. I might have to see if like RD that this wasn't at leas the same model.

Whatever it was, it had to have had the world's worst distorted tone. I've evidently blocked it from my memory.

It wouldn't stand a chance against the distorted tone on my Yamaha HY-10GIII. That's the worst tone I've ever heard. And I had it... :yell:

Ah just some cheap piece of crap I got from a car boot. Probably chuck it in the trash now i've nailed the Metallica St. Anger tone with these little beasts.

+1. Supersat was a real let down.

But the plain old "saturation" on something like an early 1980's Special 130 - with pre and post volume controls - now that could dial in a great distortion tone.
