Avatar Cabs? VS Carvin

How do these cabs rank? IIRC, they are supposed to be pretty good right? I have a 2x12 that I like just fine but I believe the speakers were switched in it.

Local GC has a cool blue Avatar 4x12 that is really reasonable and I was told it has celestions in it. Do you think it would be better than my Carvin MTS 4x12 cab with the carvin british series speakers?? Thinking maybe I should swap em out??

I have never tried the Carvin cabs, but I have owned two different Avatar cabs and they were fantastic! I had the traditional and the contemporary models, both in 2x12 formats and they worked great. I really preferred the contemporary model as it was tighter and more punchy than the traditional. The traditional seemed more geared towards rock and cleans, whereas the contemporary was built for heavier styles of rock.

I would personally take your amp down there and try it out. You never know, you might hate it. If build quality is a concern for you, I would suggest you don't worry.
