B.C. Rich Mockingbird ST

Re: B.C. Rich Mockingbird ST

I had one loaded with EMG's and I loved it -its a metal guitar, not much real vintage tone, but it plays fantastic and has good ergonimcs, except fpr one thing that toptally ruined the deal for me..it has one of the knobs (for volume IIRC) located right under where your downstroke for picking is, and it hits the knob everytime....and it was a fatal flaw, so I got rid of mine. Actually Jacksons also kind of bug me with the placement of the volume knob right where you are downsweeping the pick under heavy attack, but it isnt as bad as the BC Rich, which was absolutley rediculous..I loved that guitar otherwise. IMO the guitar is a bad design and I sold mine.

My Mockingbird is awesome, it is such a comfortable and easy to play guitar. I have a Lawerence 500 in the bridge and a Jazz in the neck and I love the tone.

Re: B.C. Rich Mockingbird ST

Not that particular model, but the Mockingbird in general is a neck heavy build, which is highly annoying, and I'm not talking about the kind of little tilt an SG has.

That said, the Special X Mockingbird with those more PAF-oriented pickups is an amazing sounding and playing guitar, especially for that price. If you can get that one, get it, even if youhave to save longer.
