Beginner Coil Split Questions. Please Help!

Hello, I plan to wire this coil split to my HH strat:

WD_Coil_Splitting.jpg

Adjustable coil split in the neck and the Slug coil split in the bridge. I've never installed pickups before and feel completely lost in that respect and had a few questions.

I'm using a 3-way blade switch, and the diagram above does not cover how to connect the pickups to the switch and output jack, does anyone have a diagram that corresponds with this wiring diagram showing how to connect to the switch and output jack?

Since wiring the coil split alone uses all of the pickup wires, I assume I'll need to go buy more wires (jumper wires, right?).

Also, I'm using CTS push/pull pots, pictured below

and need to install a tone capacitor, which from what I've seen typically goes on the metal bottom of the pot, since these are plastic on bottom, is it safe to ground the tone cap on the side of the pot? If not, where/how do I install it?

Any help will be greatly appreciated, I've never done this before so any explanations may have to be severely dumbed down haha. Thanks!

Here's the diagram you need.

You'll need to adjust the wiring in this diagram to fit the way you want the splits done (either slug coil or adjustable coil) in your post. And yes, you'll need some wire to connect the vol pot and the switch and the jack. 24-28 gauge twisted wire works fine.

Also, the caps shown in the diagram are .047 mf, but you'll have a better tonal response if you use .022 mf or even .015 mf caps with humbuckers. (.047 are best used with single coils).

Great, since i’m using 1 volume dpdt and 1 tone dpdt should i attach the hot output on the input jack to one of the empty lugs one of the pots, and attach the switch to the empty lug on the other pot? Should I attach the switch to the pot that it isn’t already attached to (so it doesn’t begin and end on the same pot)? Thanks
