BEST CHIBSON VIDEO EVER!!!!

lmao imagine admitting out loud that people buying Chibsons somehow cheapens the magic of your real Gibson, and that this irrational feeling makes you some sort of hero

Dude its not a "feelings" thing you dumb*ss its a trademark copywrite patent thing.
People go to prison for that.
I bet you like fake titz too.

Most Chibson people I know end up buying a bunch of them and end up having 5-8 mediocre guitars. When they could just get what they actually wanted in the first place.

A local guy loves them. But gets mad when he shows me a new one and I can instantly tell it's not real from 20 feet away lol. That poly shine just ruins them.

I would be upset if I paid Gibson money, for a Chibson. But I don't mind a sanctioned copy, that says "Epiphone" on it.

But I guess, that's a different thing.

Love 'em! I got a set at home that I enjoy greatly. They were made in Greece not China and they do not have the Gibson logo.

I'm gay so your weird, random breasts argument doesn't really apply (in all fairness it's a really senseless argument even if I were straight). You seem to like to post random images and videos when people call you out on your nonsense, so stay mad, friend, and he sure to stay irrationally bothered by somebody "ruining" your Gibson by the mere existence of knock-offs.

I owned a couple chibsons. (With the copyrighted logo and everything) I posted about them.
They have since left the stable.

I wanted to really know about them, and not have to take other people's words about them.

As I learned, every single part of them have to be made in China or they will get stopped at customs.

After tuners and pickups the 2 I had played well and sounded pretty good. For what they were.

I sold one for a loss, (with all honesty and integrity in the matter ) and I gave the other one to a beginner kid.

....And now I know about them. Everyone's opinions and feelings aside.

I would however like to say that (my) Epiphones are nothing like Chibsons.... Epiphones are the real deal in my opinion. I often grab mine over my, near and dear and expensive, Gibsons.

I would not ever grab a Chibson over my beloved Gibby's.

My quick 2 cents worth.

I have a Gibson Les Paul Studio satin that might as well have come from Ali Express. Can't gig all night on it or do abusive boomer bends, but it's a great platform to test pickup combinations.

I had been meaning to try that model out, but it sounds like I shouldn't bother.

This is NOT helping me to NOT grab an Epiphone Cantrell Wino at a local pawn shop....

As for more/less expensive - some dudes say this like cost = playability/tone. Sometimes yes, sometimes, no. My JS32 Jackson is a freaking player. $299 retail. Feels good, sounds good, blah blah blah.

Yeah, you can't really go by price. You just have to try many things out and keep notes which ones came out great and which ones tend to be duds. I have an Indonesian neck-through Jackson that's a great guitar, the finish is thin and fragile is the only negative, but the guitar is a regular player, great neck, light, comfortable and sounds great. I even have a $99 Squier Mini that sounds and plays pretty good, good intonation - I've used it as a down-tuned slide and even a regular tuned backup guitar. Usually with cheap guitars the main down side is bending strings throws it out of tune more than the more expensive guitars, but with a little setup work and replacement hardware some of that can be circumvented.

Assorted issues aside - I think the guys attitude towards them is perfect. Not praising them false, not unethical, yet not having panties in a wad either. Many of us could learn from him...

Like I said - he mic' dropped Chibsons as far as I'm concerned.

Gotta say, there are lots of Gibson alternatives at reasonable prices out there. I just don't like fakes. Don't want a fake rolex, don't want a fake gucci bag. If I want a good watch for $100, I'll get it. I'm not ashamed it says Timex or whatever.

Yes, Fender and Gibson are big (presumably evil) companies. But they have the right to their name. If people decide they are content with Sire or Harley Benton or whatever, then Gibson and Fender are going to have to re-think their business model. But forgery is forgery.

If you can build a better mousetrap, build it. Or, in guitar terms, if you can build an equivalent guitar, do so. Don't steal the other guy's name.
