Re: Best Fender Strat replica manufacturer?
+1 on Carvin. I have a C66, which is a super strat steroid version of the Bolt model. Mahogany body/neck, quilted maple top, rosewood board with 12' radius, 22 SS frets, quilted maple headstock overlay, graphite nut, HSH setup with their Wilkinson model. You gotta chuck their Wilkinson unit and get something better. It's a VS50 model. Snag some used pickups and add on $130-$150 for a new solid trem and ou can have a freaking tricked out Strat for well under $1,500. I live in Boston and the weather is extremely bipolar and goes from dry air to extremely humid with in one day in the spring. This neck has not moved the slightest. It's extremely, extremely reliable. Where as with my masterbuilt guitars, I'm having constant issues with the neck bowing day by day. I'm looking at getting either another C66 or a Bolt, solid guitars dude.
