Best Overdrive to Medium Gain Pedal

Im looking for a pedal that will do overdrive to medium gain.

Any suggestions?

So far my fav in this area is the AnalogMan King of Tone but there is a 2 year wait to get one and second hand prices are stupid so if you're in a hurry and/or don't want to drop 4 bills keep looking.

If I had were going to buy something right NOW w/ no wait time I'd look into the Greer Ghetto Stomp or maybe a Fulltone Fulldrive II.

Neither are anyting like the KoT but both are good OD to mid gain boxes that have a great tone...

Everyone has a different definition of "medium gain", so I'm not totally sure if that will work for you.

I also really dig the Boss BD-2 Blues Driver, especially with the Monte Allums mod or similar. The new Boss OD-3 Overdrive is also a really cool pedal, but again, can be substantially improved with mods.

RD's pedal gives you all of those options, I believe. Not so much on the mid honk, but everything else for sure.

I'm going to suggest another option just for the sake of variety:
Visual Sound Pedals. Look into the Jekyll & Hyde, Route 808, Double Trouble, Route 66, and Open Road models.

In terms of something you can get right away at a decent price...I really loved the sound and functions of the Diamond J-Drive MKIII

I'm not exactly sure what you mean here, but the Diamond Pedals J-Drive Mk3 is finished and being sold commercially.

I have a TS-9 that I modded to 808 specs.
I also have a BSIABII that I put together that gives a good JCM 800 and is very compressed.

Im looking for something transparent that will give me more gain the the tubescreamer.

Someone posted this link not too long ago. The clips sound really good, but I have no experience with them. Wampler pedals. If I were to buy any OD pedal today, I'd take a hard look at these!

Of the easily-available, reasonably-priced OD's out there, the OCD is a sweet pedal. My second fav pedal is the BK Butler Tube Driver.

eh, as far as bang for the buck goes i'd say go try an mxr classic. it's like a poor man's marshall-in-a-box(since i'm poor and i use it for that:lmao. full mids, big lows, chewy highs, it's highest settings can almost do VH depending on how your amp's gain is set.
