but my fave is my SZ320 - my white one was better but since it's gone now, I really like my black one.

Believe it or Not! I've only owned ONE GUITAR that cost me more more that $500. :eyecrazy:My 76' Bird ($600)And I sold that one last year for $2500. I'm a true Frugalmeister with gear. My 73' Strat was acquired in a trade (sub $500) Studio Les Paul #1 cost me $453 brand new out the door in 1990. (salesman error) Studio LP #2 was $300(damaged almost beyond repair) So I'd have to say
My #1 guitar in this category would be my 84' SQ Squier that was bought new.MSRP was $369 in 1984.

washburn wi-64 was $429, nobody sold it that high. mine was $219 shipped brand new.
add hard case, duncans, cts pots, orange drop cap, schaller strap locks, still under $500

My ESP 400 Series Strat (62 reissue) cost me $400, my first real guitar - my wife paid off the balance and gave it to me for Christmas the year before we were married... Still my #1 - both the guitar and my wife! :1:

I'd have to say my Epiphone blackburst Les Paul... I was an idiot to sell that one.

I also snagged my 3rd EBMM Silhouette Special for only $400 but I've since sold it.

Has to be my MIJ Tokai Love Rock LP standard. Including pups I't probably cost me £300 which is probably just under $500 at current exchange rate.
I real Gibson killer for a fraction of the cost

Are we talking about guitars we bought for 500.00 that are worth much more, or 500.00 production guitars?
I think your a bit off the mark with the 5 bills., unles it was on clearnace or something. Generally the range for a decent axe ..IMHO.... is about 6 to 7 hundred now.
I would own those, but theres still a cheap vibe to them >...IMHO....

i found my 80's USA Schecter PT for $350 bucks in the back room of a guitar store...hanging out with all the usual suspects!

deal of my lifetime!!! i've never played a guitar that i even came close to liking as well!

hopefully i'll have another guitar in this category really soon!?

Three guitars I stupidly sold: a MIM Tele in Olympic White, an Ibanez SA 220 QM, and a PRS SE Soapbar II Maple.

My Ltd. H500 was just over $500. It is as good (playability, fit, finish) as any guitar at any price I have ever played. (Needed a different bridge though).
