We've decided to go ahead and release the Black Winter to all countries based on the feedback we have received. It should be shipping now to dealers and showing up shortly.

6-string available in regular or Trembucker, neck or bridge or set. I'll followup once I know who is going to have them in stock.

Re: Black Winter

I wonder how these would do in an SG standard... I was considering Invaders or Distortions to begin with..

Re: Black Winter

these look awesome. I'd better find some time to finally write my blog entries so I can get a chance to review them.

Re: Black Winter

This is what I'm talking about!
Now if only I could get them with black pole pieces and black metal covers. :firedevil

Re: Black Winter

I don't play those styles, but should I just get a set anyway, to be safe? I'll keep them around for a while, then maybe eventually put them in… a guitar or something, I guess.

Re: Black Winter

Don't get too excited Jess.

Scott/Evan, I know they're really close to the DD set, neck pickup is a single big ceramic, right?

Re: Black Winter

They sound like surfey distortions to me, which is awesome....now I won't have to send my buddy off to Europe with a bunch of my cash to spend on booze....." I forgot the uppick doohickeys..."

Re: Black Winter

Dammit! And I JUST ordered another custom shop Tyrannotitan.... MJ confirmed that TT has a single thick ceramic mag, and the BW has triple... Hmmmm .... Must get one now too, and I was planning to change my '59 necks for the whole lottas.... Need money, what can I sell hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Re: Black Winter

I'm a huge fan of the Duncan Distortion. I could definitely see a set of Black Winters going into one of my guitars as a variation though... I am already half considering if I want to pull the Dimebucker from my Washburn to put a Black Winter into it instead.

I have already heard some good youtube demos of Distortion vs Black Winter, I feel like an A/B/C comparison of the Invader, Black Winter, and Dimebucker would really spotlight the frequencies all three really hit.

I've been in the market for a 7 string lately (with a possibility of the Nazgul pickups if the stocks do not fit my needs), but the Black Winters are making me consider if I need another 6 string too!
