Sounds like a good move. I use a HT-5H with a 1x12" cab loaded with a Vintage 30. It absolutely roars, at low volumes, and on stage with my band.

cool good to know cause i am really leaning towards grabbin the H5mini stack for my at home amp?

get the head only and save yourself the hassle of wanting to sell the matching cabs. pickup a 1x12 or a 2x12.

I run my blackstar ht5-Rh through my 2x12. It is loud as hell. Haven't had a chance to play with a drummer yet, but I'm not worried at all, at least for the sake of practice. I can do whatever I want with this amp, there haven't really been any limitations so far. Of course, I do notice the difference in headroom compared to my 40 watt xxx. I don't know why anyone would by that blackstar mini-stack of 1x10 cabinets, just get an affordable used 2x12 or 4x12 cabinet for about the same price.

The mini stack i am buying has two 1x12" cabs not 10's:fing2:
I really dont want a 4x12 in my room so the two 1x12 cabs are perfect plus it is ****ing cool looking as hell!
