Actually I think I saw that floating around here a few years ago, a cool idea BUT it is imperative to be exceptionally exact with your measurements because unless you measure the position of the stopper PRECISELY you'll end up with a stopper that is a bit flat (pushes the block further than the rest position) or isn't pushing it enough thus needing it to go a bit sharp before stopping it.

I do appreciate the ingenuity involved and the low cost but I think I still prefer the Tremol-no approach. Plus with it you also get a hardtail mode for when you want it.

Yes it's been posted and discussed on here before. After going both routes I would say the tremol-no is a much better way to go. Less risk of screwing something up and works quite well.
