Boosting signal of tapped buckers

What would be the best way to go about boosting the signal of a tapped

SH-2n Jazz humbucker? EQ pedal or clean boost? does an EQ pedal boost dB or just shape the EQ curve? If I just put all the frequencies at maximum would I just be boosting the signal but not affecting the tone or would I be "overloading" the EQ in a sense and getting a muffled tone? I've never had any experience with EQ pedals so please dont mind my amateurish questions!

I know seymour makes the pickup booster pedal, any other reccomendations if this is the way to go?

I want to boost it without affecting the tone at all, i love this tone! but its a bit weak

Re: Boosting signal of tapped buckers

Reading the info on the site, it says the resonance switch drops the resonance peak of singlecoils making it sound like a full fat humbucker, does this do it automatically or can the switch be turned on and off? I dont want it to sound like a full fat humbucker! :)
