What is the issue with the price?Whatever Gagory - The world loves the DM-2. They upgraded it, reissued it, and it is helluva pedal. I think the price is on point for what it is, as do many others....
What is the issue with the price?
Why must it be analog? So what analog delay should people be buying?
I'm not seeing the Waza Delay for $200 anywhere. It goes for $149 everywhere which is right in line with any decent Delay pedal.$200 for a reissue of a pedal was never better than mediocre would have been too much. Now $150 ain't too horrible, but I'd rather buy two pedals for that amount or save a little more for a pedal that can do a low-fi delay and a whole lot more.
I can easily get one of my $60 minty open-box flashback minis to sound just like a genuine BBD-based delay and it will still sound better to me than any analog delay Boss has ever put on the market if that was how I wanted to use it. The only downside is they don't go into self-oscillation, but that's just wankery anyhow.
And you know this how?The Waza attests to Boss' marketing prowess: Slap on some fancy name, esoteric Japanese script, dubious 'Custom' switch, triple the price, and voila...thanks to the gullible guitar players, you've got a new cash cow that should compete head to head with TC, Strymon, etc...the rest of boo-teek players.
I can only imagine the fat profit margin Boss is milking out of those pedals.
The one you like, thats the one you buy. I personally like the Boss analog as I think it sounds awesome. So what analog delay should people be buying?
