Brobucker in the neck

Who is planning on using the Brobucker in the neck, and what are you going to pair it with? I wonder if a Custom is strong enough or if you'd have to step up a notch or two.

Not really. The Distortion neck rings in at around 12k and it is a killer neck pickup. All I can say is go with what moves you and damm everyone else.

I say try it, it might work. I also agree with bro Zhang though too, at least for my tastes. The Distortion has different wire and magnets so it is going to sound different.

Hehe I may try the Bro bucker in the neck of a 335 copy. That paired with a Custom8 or JB8 for the bridge.

a DDn is around 12k but it is not PAF like a bit...I have a pretty damn good feeling that a PAF wound that hot will be a bit on the muddy side in the neck of most anything.

I'm thinking the neck of a maple bodied Floyd guitar for metal...

It's probably too much for the neck of something like an SG, or maybe even an HH Strat? (I have an Invader sitting here, unused...)

I think the Brobucker would be muddy and dark and probably pretty woofy on the low notes in the neck,but you never know unless you try it?

I may pair mine with a Gibson Dirty Finger bridge... Then again I may pull the cover off, put it in the bridge and pair it with a DiMarzio PAF...

Dunno yet...

I even found the jb cool in the neck spot ... maybe it works but I think it's more like john said
