Building my first guitar

I'm in the process building my first from scratch, I've been an avid woodworker (hobbiest) for years, now its time to build a custom Gibson Melody Maker (mid 60's) clone.
I have the full size plans, the top will be from a piece of hard maple (resawed to make a bookmatched top) and the main body will be Brazilian Mahogany.
I am trying to decide on pickups, the Melody Makers had single coils (2 in the 60's) but I think bridge/neck combo humbucking would be the way to go.
By the way, I like the Antiquity line of Seymour Duncan pickups.
I have included a picture (that I found on the internet) of a 1965 Melody Maker double cutqway. I have already been in touch with the folks at Seymour Duncan on the topic of pickups and I may be trying to figure out how to fit in a SH11 and a SH2 in stead of single coils.
Any sugestions sure would be great.
