Re: building specs for a compact isolation cab (10-in speaker)

that would be cool! how do you like it for recording - is it OK?

i like it quite a bit. it seems to give a little more compressed sound than a normal amp in an open room but a little eq-ing helps. this could be my microphone (i have a shure pg-81 which is actually a condenser mic made for cymbals). other than that it sounds great and records really well. bass sounds equally as good.

i'll give you all the info on it later. i should get back to my apartment in an hour or two.

I just built a monster iso cab w/ a 12" V30. Good in concept, very quiet, but if you crank it too loud I'd get some weird distorion. And you can't get any feedback as it's not in the same room.
