Buying a PodXT tomorrow.

Probably going to buy a Pod tomorrow. I would be running it in to my Classic 30 mostly and maybe the Behringer twin. Is there any reason that this might sound bad? The store has a C30 so I guess I will be able to find out. I can't wait to get it, I've been wanting some extra tones and something to record with.

Let me know how the amp models sound when you get it!!!

I'm considering buying a Pod XTLive or Boss Gt-8 when i get back from italy

Re: Buying a PodXT tomorrow.

I never liked PODs plugged into real amps like the C30.... The new Pod XT Live has a switch on it for plugging infront of a real guitar amp.... but the best amp to plug a POD into for me is still a Keyboard amp or direct to PA/mixer.... A music Teacher i know is loaning me a Keyboard amp for a while... should be cool to get my hardly used 2.0 pod out for a spin!

Re: Buying a PodXT tomorrow.

Plug it into the FX return of the amp... but seriously, it'll never beat the tone of a tube amp.

For me I ain;t lookin for it to beat the tone of a tube amp, But to get close to the tone and possibly the feel (probobly very wishful thinking) and use it Live direct to PA, As I'm the person that owns the PA so i gotta do all the setting up of that aswell as my Guitar Amp

Re: Buying a PodXT tomorrow.

My problem with Line 6 products is I really can't hear a difference in tone when switching between pickups- I do hear a difference on my Boss Microtube, and because of that I'm more inclined to get a Boss GT-8 over the Line 6

Re: Buying a PodXT tomorrow.

Jeff, the amp isn't a master volume amp so plugging into the fx return wont allow me to control the volume :/

One of the reasons I might be selling my podxT in the next few days....

I have a friend with rifftracker, would there be any problem with me installing that on my computer? or is it protected?

I would recommend that you buy your own copy of rifftracker.

Re: Buying a PodXT tomorrow.

Even without a master volume it'll work - just use the output as the master volume.

Are you serious? Which Line6 product is this?

Re: Buying a PodXT tomorrow.

It's sounding pretty good so far. This thing has unlimited possibilites. I'm running it in to my behringer 212, it's got a flat eq. I'm going to try it into my c30 in just a minute. Full review later.
