For those of you that play shows and stuff, What length do you guys buy your instrument cables?
EDIT: ops, the " is suposed to be '

Last time I checked instrument cables have practically zero impedance. Which means as long as your cable is shielded your signal should have no degradation regardless of the length.KLINKDETROIT said:No longer than 20 ft as it degrades signal. I would buy Voodoo cables www.voodooamps.com
Well try that again when you have played for a lengthy amount of time.Last time I checked instrument cables have practically zero impedance. Which means as long as your cable is shielded your signal should have no degradation regardless of the length.

If it is bad, say hi to a nice capacitator disguised as a cable.
And the current will drop after 5 meters.
Resistance doesn't matter. What matter is capacitance. Having a high capacitance is what will cause signal degradation.texasguitarslinger said:Last time I checked instrument cables have practically zero impedance. BTW, I use 20'.
