Second time this question has come up recently ; how strange.
Yes, it will work fine. That is called an IEC power cord. Some have the ground pin missing and I would not advise using that with a guitar amp, but if it has 3 pins, it will work just fine.

Yep, the cord is just that. I think a lot of things use the same pattern......some of my HiFi components use the same plug as for the 9V pedal power....great for buying in the US and then simply using with a local Aus cable.
The exception is where there is a transformer in the lead....then you have to make sure the 'out' power is the same.

That is what the 16 gauge cable with that connector is rated at under UL. 220 is fine with 3x16ga cable.

550W power supply unit might not consume that much power continuously, but a 50W amp, specially those toob suckers will consume much more than their output power rating.
ex: my peavey amp is rated at 100W, but really consumes 350W of mains power
