I can't be bothered tryping a long paragraph about what happened but basically I tried this out, it buzzed like a wasp on speed, I'm almost sure it's a grounding issue. Nightmare. May I have some sugestions please? The wires from the pickups are correct I'm sure, it's the rest of it I don't seem to understand, help much appriciated <3 Schematicccc.jpg

If the noise increases a lot when you touch a metallic part (like a screw or strings), you've probably swapped positive and negative in the jack.

^ the pic does have them backwards (sleeve is ground, tip is hot).

i once soldered a 5-way wrong by getting the end lugs mixed up, ie connecting a pickup where the wire to the volume pot was supposed to go; have you checked the switch wiring?

I mean I swaped them round and it didn't make much of a difference, it still buzzed but a whole lot ****ing more ='] ahh! You may have got it dude, I am sure the switch is correct but it doesn't go to volume pot, it goes to tone then volume.. could that be it? =]

. . . . but it doesn't go to volume pot, it goes to tone then volume.. could that be it? =]

No. They're shorted together. Doesn't matter which comes first.

Right, got a little pop when I touch the strings now.. not right. Think I'm gonna ake this to a tech :(

The only thing i see wrong is that you swapped ground and signal in jack, at least in your diagram.
You also missed to drawn any other optional grounds (bridge ground and, eventually, cavity shielding ground) but, I bet you already know that they should be soldered to any pot's case.
Just be sure, your switch, once mounted looks like your picture. If you flip the switch, you are changing the way the switch works.
