Theres no problem using amp like that, but I think there would always be something missing that a tube amp adds to the sound.

Your preamp would want to sound pretty good as this amp will be amplifying exactly what comes out of it...whereas a tube power amp adds a little bit of its own character.

You would also have to get an adaptor to go from speakon to 1/4 inch jack so you could plug into a guitar cab.

Plenty of people use PA style power amps for guitar.

All models feature both XLR and 1/4" TRS inputs, Neutrik Speakon, phone plug, and 5-way binding post outputs.

What I was saying is you can use a regular lead to go into the amp, but you will have to get an adaptor to go from speakon to regular lead from the amp to your cab.

This is a speakon connector:

No you won't have to use an adaptor- it plainly states that there is: Speakon, Phone, and binding posts for outputs, as I quoted in the ad copy.
A regular 1/4-1/4 speaker cable will work just fine.

whoa I must need a brain adjustment! Sorry there are normal 1/4 inch ouput jacks :smack:

I was looking at a few amps like this not long ago that only had speakon & binding posts & I checked out connectors for them.. my mind was still on that track...sorry for the confusion!
