Can this wiring be made with a 5 way 4 pole switch?

Hey guys! I wanted to swap the humbucker in my MIM Strat (SSH)

The switch on it is a 5 way, 4 pole. Can I do this wiring with that switch?

Yes, that is a 5 way 4 pole switch in the schematic.

Oops...I was told it wasn't.

So, how do I wire this?

The only this I've done is direct pickup swapping.

From what I see, I have one pickup in each pole and the 4th is the one connected to the Tone. (guitar has only 1 tone)

I see you have been to the DBG website. That guy has all kinds of cool mods but he always has them as technical schematics rather than actual wiring.

Oops...looks like my switch is a 5 way 2 pole one... :S

No chance of doing that wiring with this switch, right?

A standard strat 5-way switch is sort of only a two pole.

You need a superswitch.

EDIT I said sort of because it really does not have 5 actual positions. The center two positions only short between the normal 3-way positions. It is a two pole though.

Ok, I ordered the Superswitch.

Just curious...If I added a push pull pot on the volume knob, what different combinations could I achieve? Any ideas?

After a few mistakes with my order, I got the Fender Super Switch a few weeks ago.

It's probably too much to ask, but can anyone "translate" the schematic above into a Duncan style wiring diagram?

I hate wiring diagrams and doing them. So many assumptions about specific parts.

I try to do schee-agrams these days. They should be able to read them, and its easier on me.
