Paid $500 for my Mark III and she sounds killer and I'd put her up with the $1,500-$2,500 amp market.

I think you can nail any tone with amps under $1,500. But if there is an amp that somehow nails that type of tone like no other and it costs $3,000, then go for it.

ill say yes ! i just recently got my mesa head and cab and paid about $1500 combined and i have a ****ty job that doesnt pay that good !! imagine when i get a good goverment job that pays great (:cop: soon) ill be buying those 3k amps in a heartbeat !!

If you're a Sax player, a good sax starts at $5,000.
This is all to true. I just happen to be a guitar AND sax player

Yes...but you don't have to spend $3000 to get a great amp!

Mission Amps, DR. Z and Scott_F all make killer handwired amps for alot less than $3000. Lew

It all comes down to can you afford it!....I've played thru and own some very noce amps. Never paid that much........ But I just bought a Bogner Shiva... It didn't cost that much but it sounds like it did:fingersx:
