CC or C5 in a 335 Semi?

I just got a used Washburn 335 copy that came with a C5 in the bridge. The loudest I've had a chance to play it so far was with my Blues Jr. on 4. That's loud enough have to yell to hear yourself but not loud enough to bust eardrums. Anyway, I didn't get the slightest bit of feedback unless I put the guitar right in front of the amp and tried to get feedback.
However, I still think the C5 is way too hot for that guitar. It's not a bad pickup, but IMO it's too hot to let the hollowbodiness of the guitar come through. I'll probably put some kind of PAF copies in the hollow-body and put the C5 in a solid-body.

Either would work just fine. I do like the CC in my semi hollowbody Hamer Monoco: ALOT!
I played with the alnico 5 C5 for a year or so...I like the alnico 5 59B and CC more and no longer use the C5 in any of my guitars.

I love both the CC and the C5. But in that guitar I would think that the CC would be great. The guitar should naturally have a lot of bass to it. The C5 is a great for adding bass, but with the natural bassiness of a semi-hollow, I would think that an AII magnet pup would really bring out the warmth in the mids without dousing the guitar in bottom end. I had a 335 with an AII magnet JB in it. It had a wonderful tone.

Thanks much guys. I think I will go ahead with it and either buy or make the CC from a Custom I have now. Not that it should matter but the guitar in question isn;t exaclt a 335 but an Epi Dot.
Blues junkie, yeah I was initially thinking the c5 might be a good idea for the bridge, but then again why would I need that hot a bridge in a semi, when solid bodies are more suited for high gain.
For the most part my Dot is for cleaner jazz stuff with an edge for the bridge for some grit. The grit can be accomplished ok now with 59's, so it wasn't a plan to make this into a screamer with an Invader or Dimebucker or some mismatched/ridiculous pickup for this guitar.
