Cello interlude on guitar

Aceman

I am your doctor of love!
I don't post here often, but thought this interesting.

We play Still of the Night by Whitesnake. I figured out how to eight - finger this using my old Peavey Classic with Tremolo and Reverb when the album first came out. It's been a long time but I've finally got to play it for people. Sounds cool, and visually interesting. Someone usually asks how I did that...

Jackson King V - JS32, decorated by me...Jackson bridge pickup
Mesa Stiletto on Tight Gain channel
Zoom G3NX: Short delay, tremolo, and gobs of reverb

Re: Cello interlude on guitar

I've seen guys pick it, but that just doesn't cut it. I've tried a slow-gear too, but it just doesn't have the sound of a tremolo set properly. Index of Difficulty doing it in wig w/ sunglasses at night is +5 also!

Played it last night on the Jenna Jameson V. It was a little more "throaty" sounding....

we refer to it as he Electric Circus. It's equal parts hard rocking, throwback awesome, nostalgia, and comedy/stupidy. When the set is all poison/Warrant/Whitesnake/Motley Crue, etc....can't have too much fun or be too serious!

That was really cool! Im one of the guys who pick that part with a slight delay which is ok I guess and gets the job done.
Did you figure this out by ear? Id like to see this done close up so I can see what youre doing.
At any rate thanks for sharing this!
