Ok, the end result. I put a new fuse in the amp and I'm off and running.
So, the pickup swap worked. Nice clear sound. No crackling. Everything seems to be grounded and all the caps still work. Coil splitting works.
Good gosh I can't believe I got it all back together again.
Loving the jazz neck. I so wish I could have put the new bridge pickup in today. Oh well. I'll probably start a new thread on this in a couple of weeks when I have the replacement.
