I'm not sure if I love or hate the pickguard material...

I would have a different guard myself...

...is it me, or is the scratchplate the wrong size? It seems too low to me... the scrathplate colour and fit don't quite go with it IMO.

I'm not much of a fan of that pickguard, but if you like it then that's all that matters.

Can't say I'm much a fan of the pickguard either, but I'd echo JOLLY's sentiments...

It is definitely growing on me, and I am going to live with it for a little while, anyway. But out of curiousity, what would you fellas have chosen? A lot of the standard stuff just didn't look right. Oh, and Diocletian, as far as I can tell, it fits correctly. Maybe it was the angle of the pic, but it is the same distance from the top and bottom of the lower horn. But maybe I just refuse to see my child's faults.

I probably would've gone with a black one, or possibly a white pearloid? It IS an odd color blue, so I can see how you'd say standard choices don't look right.
Guess I'd have to see the various combinations. But again, if that one works for you, run with it!
