Amazing top eh?
Great guitar. Really really good workmanship. This is on par with the suhrs and andersons i have seen ( almost maybe).
Really balanced guitar. I havent plugged into it too much cause my hands are too **** tired from fixing it up. I bought it used from Germany and the guitar is 10 years old, but in great shape. but i had to sand the neck a bit and polish it and get all the grime off the frets. The person who had it obviously didnt play it at all and kept it in the case. Made the frets a bit green. Now after hours of TLC and tons of rubbing its like new. I am obsessive when it comes to tweaking my guitars.
I cant say yet though if it is better than my USACG alder red. that was a pretty amazing observation. It is more balanced though.
The only thing i dont like about the specific Axis is that it has a shim on the neck and is at a bit too much of an angle so it makes the guitar a bit more stiff than i would like and cuts a bit of the low end out.
Oh and by the way as far as my red alder USACG is concerned, i took the Poly off the fretboard and it sounds waaaaay better this way.
