Cherry Edana 45 Amp Photos

Re: Cherry Edana 45 Amp Photos

this is why I went ahead and put myself on his list....I knew these things were going to grow in popularity, and pretty soon he's going to have quite the waiting list :) I'm so freakin excited. Am I the only one getting a Fender-esque amp though?

Re: Cherry Edana 45 Amp Photos

Nope, I'm making Evan a traditional-sized Bandmaster Reverb head in Cherry Hardwood with reverb on both channels, tweed thing working on the normal channel, blackface thing on the tremolo channel. 7581 NOS power tubes for max headroom.

Me too. I'm not getting a fender type amp. Love them, but I decided to go with something more marshally for my first Celtic. ;)

Re: Cherry Edana 45 Amp Photos

Scott, you might want to have wood above the back panel a bit cause it's covering some words on the panel.

Re: Cherry Edana 45 Amp Photos

yep, it's covering the 8 ohm a bit. If this hardwood thing gets popular, I can have it lowered next batch of back plates I have run. I had the 4, 8 and 16 moved out slightly to compensate for the Chicken head knobs. When using the small barrel marshall t ype knobs, the lettering was perfect. With the chicken heads, the numbers went AWOL.

Oh, it's a fine balance... :)

Re: Cherry Edana 45 Amp Photos

That is definatly the sexiest amp I have ever seen, good job. Someday when I have a job I just might have to get one, till then that is one sweet photo.

New Celtic Amp motto:

"Inspiring young musicians everywhere to get jobs!"

Re: Cherry Edana 45 Amp Photos

haha that motto is awesome... and so true. im actually in the process of looking for a job to fund for an edana lol. everyone elses marshall clones are so expensive: blockhead, aiken, etc. how can i say no to the celtic? i think ill end up selling a bunch of gear that isnt used enough to fund for the edana. can you do green tolex on that? id def get that with an avatar 212 cab.

Re: Cherry Edana 45 Amp Photos

If you're playing something that is "decent", sell off "decent" for as much as you can muster and get yourself one of these amps!!! You'd be crazy to let an opportunity to get what sounds like a $2,500 amp for less than half that price slip out of your greasy little fingers. I've decided to take the leap myself.

Re: Cherry Edana 45 Amp Photos

That's exactly why I'm getting one now. I'm selling off some "decent" gear (even contemplating selling my Blues Jr. *GASP!*) to fund the purchase of my amp. I'm getting a 3x10" Bandmaster combo...35 or so watts, Jensen speakers, green tolex, wheat grill cloth...man....I'm drooling just thinking about it. To think that I need to wait another 3 or 4 months before it can be close to my grubby little paws is almost more than I can take! But that's ok, I need time to sell my gear :)

Re: Cherry Edana 45 Amp Photos

I'm looking for an Edana in a Cherry box with Gibson style handle, oxblood chickenhead knobs and creme faceplate. Once the Edana is here, I'll be ordering a matching cherry 4x12 slant cabinet from Weber with the large check grillcloth. Don't know what kind of speakers to throw in it, but I'm certainly thinking of making a nice combo of two different models in X formation.

edit I wish Weber had an option for the marshall cane grillcloth for their cabs. That would be my real preference. Large checker is my second choice.
