Chewy, syrupy wah???

Re: Chewy, syrupy wah???

Too many options. I like plug n play wahs, night go back to the Cantrell and get used to the sweep. If I end up thinking it sounds better than the 95Q, it may be a keeper. Wish the sweep was not so narrow.

Thats like saying you dont like your guitar cos it has more than 1 pickup or your amp cos it has too many knobs! lol
Try one out first. Let your ears decide.

Re: Chewy, syrupy wah???

I use a 535Q with the frequency pot on the darkest setting and the Q knob dimed. After a while, I was messing around with it, and after adjusting the how high the switch was in the wah, I ended up getting another 10 degrees of sweep out of it.

Re: Chewy, syrupy wah???

I would suggest finding one that is closest to the sound you are looking for and have somebody mod or tweak it to get you what you are after.

I run George Dennis Optical Wah's on both my boards and love them:fing2:.
Bulletproof reliable and sound great with a really wide sweep and nice thick notch tone. Can't use a Crybaby anymore since I got these.
have been gigging with these things for over 10 years now without a failure:bowdown:!

Just went to his site. Are they wider than a Crybaby? If so, it won't fit my board. :(

MXR CAE wah. top shelf. flexible and trimmable as hell.
Two inductors each with their own q and gain trimmers. Kick boost too if you want it.

I picked up this wah today and I only see internal trims for the Q of each fasel. I don't see the internal trims for the gain as you mentioned, and there is nothing in the manual. However, there is an external boost knob and switch.
