click track

on cubase or garageband is there any way you can mix down with the click track on the final mixdown? i wanna try using strings or something live and the drummer needs a click track, so i wanna pan the click right and the music left but cant figure it out. is there a site or n e thing i can down load pan-able click tracks? is there an easier way to do this? thanks

A good way is to have a hardware interface that can output more than a stereo mix. For example 4 outputs with 1/2 having your backing tracks and 3/4 having your click. You should be able to set the outputs on your software mixer.

I'd just do a midi loop as a click (with a drum stick hit or whatever you like) throughout the whole song, then you could mix it however you wanted. Just do a short one with 4 clicks or whatnot and then copy and paste it through til the end of the tune.
