Hello all...I basically need some help with the following diagram. My question is whether you can split 2 humbuckers and use a push/pull pot and the 3 way on the middle position and play to each split coil from both humbuckers..doable??

Yes... in that diagram, when the push/pull is pulled BOTH humbuckers will be split, so in the 3-way's center position it would be:
  • Down = Bridge & Neck Humbuckers
  • Up = Bridge & Neck Split

I'm having trouble understanding the question. It doesn't appear as simple as BriGuy's response, especially the "play to each split coil" part.

Then again, I may be over-thinking it and he's not asking about Artie's CoilSwap mod at all

The diagram you've posted will, as BriGuy said, split both pickups at the same time. However, to go further into the obvious detail, they will remain split no matter what position the 3-way is in, until you push the push-pull down again. That means the bridge by itself will be split, the neck by itself will be split, and they'll both be split together.

+1 here, it sounds like he wants inner coils and outer coils. To me it sounds like he is looking something similar like this but he would need 2 pus/pulls

Edit: Or maybe similar to this as he does only look for coil splits

After looking a little closer at the OP's wording, I see what you guys are saying. I was assuming he just wanted to make sure that both pickups would be running split when the 3-way was centered... but the wording is a little confusing. Hey ekieegan, maybe you could clarify. You've got 3 guys here willing to help you out, but we need a little more info (or at least to get on the same page with terminology).

...and he was never heard from again. Yet another victim of the Internet's insatiable appetite for human flesh.
