Daphne blue is greater than all, but that el hideoso pickguard doesn't go with it at all.

agreed tort guards kinda suck with daphne. too "teh kurdtz" actually :laugh2: mint on daph is classy.

Actually they're (tort guards) only any good on Seafoam imo, where they can look the lurid

glad they're only strat pickups. not a lace fan.

I still don't see why people have such a problem toward matching stocks and maple necks... But I've always thought daphne was like, 10 times better than sonic

Dapne Blue without a painted headstock. The maple board looks WAY better also.

It's hard but I'm currently leaning towards Aztec Gold. Chances are that we can get that in a non-reranch paint.....

Seafoam green looks nice. All colors would look better with white or mint or white pearl pickguard.

personally dude I think all those colors are ugly. i think that would be a sweet looking guitar in a burst color though ( I realize your doing it yourself though)
out of those colors i like the candy apple best

but for sure this is somethin you should choose yourself

I kind of like the look of Aztec Gold with a black guard. Coral with the tort guard still wins. Or the Seafoam with the anodized pickguard

Get those gross 70's pickguards off. Just gross.

Edit: The MOP guard is wonderful, the tortoise ones are just gross. Really ugly.

I agree but I like it more than a plain headstock:

Here's a matching with a rosewood board. I like the maple myself. Plus it's what I have to work with so this one doesn't really matter too much

I'm kind of liking the tort guards myself but I do like the MOP gaurds as well. The MOPs, in these pics anyway, look so busy IMO.

Personally I really like the look of the shell pink. Especially with the maple board and the tort guard. I'll check out what the MOP gaurds look like in real life but again they just look too busy

I love maple fretboards, but hate the tinted/vintage ones you've posted up, I only like natural/satin ones.
