X-Files Duckbucker
Hey guys, I need a verdict.
I played one of these today at a local Guitar Center and was very pleasantly surprised. It's balanced, lightweight, and played well from the start. A good set-up and some fresh strings would really get it going! The bridge looks like a Tone Pros which is a nice bonus. The pickups are cheap, but that's a pickup swap away from perfect. So what's the hold up? Click the link...

That graphic has got me on the fence. It's kinda cool at first, but will it wear well? Not sure, I am equal parts COOL and CHEESY, so I thought I'd put it to a vote.
My alternative is the silver one they sell, but that's $500 more! It's got an ebony board which could be a good thing, but I'm not sure about the Dave Mustaine pickups. They might rock and then again they might not do it for me. It would seem like a waste if I ended up swapping them out. What say you guys? Is this "Freaking Sweet" or Cheese-D*ck"?
