crate power block

anybody own one of these crat power block and the smaller special cab it comes with.anyone know how the distortion /clean channel sounds ect. this combo is on MF and i was thinkin of buying one........can

Light weight.
No effects, but you can put a pedal in front of it.
Lots of gain.
Works best with 4x12 cab instead of the 1x12 from Crate. Actually sounds very good with the 4x12.

i bought one as soon as they came out. i havent tried the crate cab as i have a fender vibroking 2x12 i am quite partial to thats 8 ohms.

its great. i think the preamp is based on the rhythm channel that lots of crates have, so it can go from clean to pretty darn crunchy depending on the gain setting.

is it going to replace my modded '82 jcm 800 or my bassman? no, nay, never.
but as a back up/ portable power its great and its only $200 with a carrying bag
