the main difference is the speaker. 10 vs 12. The deluxe has 2 channels, but like on most fender amps, the first one doesn't get used.

Um, the main difference is EVERYTHING. The 5E3 Tweed circuit and the Princeton Reverb (which would have to be post tweed era due to the reverb) are two completely different amps.
To answer the original question, the Brownface amps were regarded as the transition period between the 50's tweed and 60's Blackface eras. So, Brownface Princeton?
