yeah, I definitely won't be taking this one to the dormitories! Although, I do have a friend who kept a 5150 half stack in his barracks, but then again, I don't ever remember him being too popular. Lol. I'm probably gonna' leave it here at my parents house in the attic until I get to my first permanent duty station, and then bring it out with me. I've sold the Peavey Bravo, and if I can't sell that Valveking soon, I'm gonna' go trade it in for a small practice amp, like a nice modeler or something. This 5150 is definitely fun though!

And that comment about tools is definitely spot on. I've got a killer rig for gigging, and now I just need a nice little bedroom/practice rig. I'm sure you guys will see a thread soon, me looking for recommendations on small high gain practice amps, or the best modeller, etc. You guys rock, I learn so much just from the input from all you forum bros, keep it coming!

more like my heartbreak of the year. seriously, congrats, that is the deal of the CENTURY and beyond.

oh yeah, I blew my deal of the century. picked up a marshall jcm800 head in a musicgoround for like $325, sold it a few years later for like $400, and now when I look, they're totally out of sight.

The last JCM800 I sold went for $400... if I had known, I could unload it today for a cool grand or more... grrr...

I got my 5150 for like $280 or $290 this year

Its a combo, however, and it has old tubes which I still havent replaced. Congrats on the steal.
