I've seen the cheapo Chinese and INdonesian Deans with a C neck shape. Its just most of the current high end imports..the CFH/DFH, the razorbacks, etc are designed with V neck, and thats where those guitars are built (China/Indo).
the 79 series and similar (Black Golds) all have the C neck.

Dunno,I've got 2 MIKs that have totally different necks,although I do prefer the '79 shape over my Caddy,honestly,but what can ya do?

Am nearly sure Only different models - eg:-my usa hardtail is c neck. To get the usa V neck on a hardtail you would need to get the collectors edition. Helluva lot more expensive and a different model. I could not get a run of the mill Hardtail with a V neck (not that I wanted one anyway!).
