Desperately Need some trade gear ...

Hey all ...

I hate to type out a message like this ... however as people that have been friends for a long time and been around for me alot. I am finding myself in a bit of a situation and am wondering if people could give me a hand ... I really do hate to do this, just because I am an independent person and well ... there are lots of scams on the net.

Here it is ... I am getting married in august ... so as I am sure you all know, all our finances are focused on the wedding ... therefore my gear has suffered, I have scaled down my board alot (which needs a few pedals added), been neglecting my guitar (in terms of setups and pickup upgrades) that are really needed. The issues this presents is, I have just been asked to take a gig that could potentially be my shot at making it. Its a huge opportunity for me to play a) for an up and coming country act as well as b) put me infront of the people I need to be infront of. Im just concerned about having the gear that I need to do it. Feeling a) comfortable and b) having gear that sounds good ... is a big thing for us all ...

So I dont really know what I am asking for, I guess I am just seeing if anyone has something they can help with either from a gear perspective, or from a philosophical perspective.

well what are you missing? if you still have all the stuff in your sig then id say your still ahead of a lot of people.

Touche, i updated my sig in that regards, that was from a few years ago. Some things that have changed, I had to sell off my higher end pickups in my legacy, I have some Cheaper Duncan Design pickups in there now ... and got rid of my distortion/boost pedals.

Maybe if someone had some pickups they were looking to get rid of fairly inexpensively (single coils), or some sort of mid gain drive pedal

Tell you what. Ive got a set of GFS hot vintage strat pups which are actually really good. I also have a dano cool cat transparent OD, the version that is almost an exact clone of a timmy.

Ill ship em all up to you for $50. It would be less but you are in nowhere canada.

Not sure what you want to know. Slightly higher resistance than true vintage strat pups but still in that range. I think around 7 in the neck and middle and 8 in the bridge

The have that really nice glassy strat tone and take some over drive pretty well. If you want to know the actual resistance on them then i can measure them later when i get home.
