Re: Dia Echo testings
Thanks...well the second echo is always half time of the dark main one.
We do use a chip for each echo, we are still developing on this one, as this is just mine setup how I like it.
A model with three or four chips might become the end product.
I actually forgot how they are setup, but I think one is feeding into to the next, well it must be that as the echo time is long...haha
Anyways no it is trimable in this version(can be made for sure, also in discussion with a trim), I like it all dirty because it blends in great and responds well to picking, the chips are really getting it in this setup.
They do respond well to how you play, and I like that.....while it might sound somewhat bad and overly distorted on its own, it really gives a sweet verby rolling that I find most agreeable to what I like.
Did not set out to make a tape or drum alike echo, just something with a character of its own.
Also no taptempo of any kind....had a myriad of those since the late 80's...and in an afterthought I never used it much...( as we always played with some elastic timing in all the bands I played in, as none of the people I have played with never liked the machine perfection of a click) so it was ommited out!
EMG...... I had one guitar with EMG's back in the late 80's

No it was just some very clear, and very loud Micro Coils from Wilde (Bill Lawrence)....
And the amp was set for a very clear'ish tone on the clean channel, that I use when recording, so did not eq it for standing on its own really.
Have a guitar with some buckers that I can use.
The modulation is added to the delayed signal, by a tug and release circuit...so it wobbles, the circuit is always on, but does not modulate when turned down, but is a part of the overall echo.
And one time only on this one yes.
We aim for a small sale next year I hope, it will be made in my garrage haha.....which is my workstation anyways...got a few other things in the mold as well.
It is a small operation....it will be small series and limited runs mostly....so we do not get bored, and can keep doing what we like the most, making stuff that amuses and usefull to ourselves, and if people wants some of that, then it is cool.
So don't expect any Plexitones, AC Tones and such...this will not be CM Mk2.
It will be all the stuff we never could make in the CM line.
