Did Dunlop change their gel picks to suck? Or is Amazon selling knockoffs?

Adieu

Bought a new pack the other day... old ones had heavily embossed grippy lettering, new ones are slippy smooth everywhere except a few obnoxious burrs on the edges, as in the one place they should be smooth

Wth???

That's so funny- I just noticed the new ones get rougher quicker/seem more brittle/snappy than the old ones.

Might stick with Gator Grips or Ernie Ball Everlasts (which also changed but it think it's only color.)

Any H or XH gels on the market still got grippy texture?

Amazon does sell knockoffs. I don't mean from third party sellers either. Amazon commits blatant fraud all the time. I ordered Schaller strap locks and got clearly inferior locks stamped "made in China" that rattled like hell because the pieces didn't fit together properly.

I posted a review saying Amazon was selling knockoffs but they quickly deleted it. Shady company.

Wood starved termites got desperate, adapted and ate the embossed lettering ...

If you want grip, try V-Picks. Been using them for about three years now, and I haven't dropped one yet.

So... Guitar Center Dunlop Gels will still be grippy, and these are probably counterfeit?

Not really a dropping issue... they're just, uh, slower??? Somehow. Keeping a firm precise attack is noticeably more difficult, requires a firmer stiffer hold or something,

OK-ish for 10's on 25.5, but harder to be accurate with on 11's with 24.75". Just gradually wiggles out of position i guess?

Hmm - Maybe mine are fake, had one snap down the middle after a week and that hasn't happened before.

That blows wide-open ass. I wonder how much business they do in counterfeit merchandise.

When the market dropped 550 pts last week, they said Bezos lost 7.5 BILLION. Of course, he didnt really lose a nickel. The evil empire, I actually like ebay way more. I have gotten some killer deals on it

Amazon Dunlops as well?

Did they come in a plastic baggie or in one of those snap-shut clear plastic box thingies that looks like "frustration packaging", but opens and shuts properly? I *think* the good old ones mightve been in a box, new ones were in a sealed plastic baggie
