HI stranger! Welcome back! And with a vengeance!! Good review! I always used random picks, then I switched to Dunlop tortex oranges (.60?) and those had a nice grip and versatile stiffness. I bought a gross of em to put em with all my guitars. then I read a write up in a guitar rag about what the pros use and many were using Jazz III reds and blacks. Decided to try em. At first, the stiffness was not good for strumming for me, but for picking... WOW!! my precision and all increased tremendously. Then I got hooked on the Eric Johnsons. I think just cuz of the added grip of the raised lettering. THEN..... I discovered the Carbon Fiber ones... Wow! Even better grip, cool look and nearly same feel. So, Im all about those now...
